Chapter's objective: Kill the boss

(The translucent image shows the closed rooms)

- Note: The blue squares indicate the starting position of your characters in base of where were they when you chose them on the menu (from left to right and from up to down).

• Village/Items:
- Rienfleche, kill Uhai.
- Luce, kill Kenneth
- Gespenst, kill the druid near Kenneth.
- Basilikos, kill Brendan.
- Rex hasta, kill Darin.
- Excalibur, kill Ursula.
- Regal Blade, kill Lloyd.

• Reinforcements:
- Turn 2, room 2, Kenneth, 1 Sage and 1 Druid.
- Turn 3, room 3, Brendan and 1 Warrior.
- Turn 4, room 4, Darin and a General.
- Turn 5, room 5, Ursula and Jerme.
- Turn 6, room 6, Lloyd and Linus.
- When you kill all the morphs, Nergal, 1 Sage, and 1 Druid from the door on top.
(They're all inside the rooms, you can open each door with a thief or door keys, except Nergal's).
- Turn after opening Nergal's door:
3 generales from below and 2 druids above Nergal.

• New Characters:
- Athos.

• Augury (there isn't, but Nils says something):
- This... This must surely be your final battle. As Lord Athos said, our destiny hangs in the balance of this final confrontation. You don't need an augury. Nergal is...strong. You and your companions must match him, strength for strength. There are...others. You must defeat them all before you can confront Nergal. ...Mark, everything now comes down to your strategy. Please...lead us... ...to victory!

• Strategy:
Take rank "A" weapons or higher because all others will be simply useless. If you find impossible to finish this chapter, or your lords are very bad trained or low-leveled, it'd be best to start the game all over again.
Generally, in this chapter, you'll have to wait for some enemies to approach you and kill them in one turn if you don't want them to kill you. Each turn, a door will open, the order is shown on the image. The numbered blue squares are the places where your units will appear depending on their position in the unit list of the menu before starting the battle (from left to right and from up to down). Just "uncheck" all your characters, then select only one unit. Go to the previous menu, an return to this one again: that character will be placed on the square with the lowest number (from left to right, from up to down).

As soon as the chapter starts, move away from Uhai's attack range or he might kill one of your units since he'll move. The next turn, another door will open with Kenneth, a Druid and a Sage, Kenneth won't move, but the other two will. Now attack Uhai with everything you've got, you must defeat him this turn, with the units that you haven't moved, kill the sage or he might be bothersome. Heal from far away with Physic or Fortify. Leave Kenneth for later, he won't move.

You can kill Brendan with a swordmaster without any risk. Darin will fall against a good axe wielder or Hector himself if he still has his Wolf Beil. Be VERY careful with Ursula and Jerme, their weapons are very powerful, Ursula will fall against the Luna magic and Jerme against a unit with great speed or resistance attacking from a distance with physical weapons or magic, since from afar, his weapon will deal magical damage (using half the strength of the wielder) and not physical.

On turn 6, the brothers will come out, extreme caution against them. Best option is letting them attack you in their turn, heal yourself, then attack them with everything. If you manage to kill them before they kill you, you'll love the Swordslayer and the magic tomes Luce and/or Luna forever, since they're the best options against them.

Boss Data Items

Nergal
Dark Druid of Level 20
"An avaricious fiend who turns death into power."
- Ereshkigal
HP Str Skl Spd Lck Def Res Con
Stats 75 30 18 15 20 29 30 10

Nergal is a tough foe, with great defense and resistance. What can we do...? LUNA, equip Canas or Athos with Luna and let him attack you on his turn, heal in yours, and keep at it until he dies (if you don't have it, just use Aureola because is effective, or others S ranking weapons).

AFTER defeating him and a few scenes, you'll be before the last opponent.

Dragon
Fire Dragon of Level 20

Luna will be the weapon to use. Follow these steps:

- Place Canas or Athos with Luna one space away from the dragon.
- End your turn and the dragon will attack you, if your speed is good enough, you'll attack twice.
- Send a unit with staffs to heal Canas or Athos, then use Nils to move that unit away.
- Repeat these steps until the dragon dies.

Before doing this, stay away of the other enemies' attack range. You can also repeat these steps with Athos if you give him a Body Ring or Speedwings with Luna equipped; he will always attack the dragon twice. If you don't have any of that, just make Athos attack him during the enemy turn with one of his strongest magic tomes and heal him in yours.

If you defeat him, the game's over. All that's left is to obtain all support conversations, play Hector mode, Hard modes and obtain better ranks in all modes.
