Chapter 26E: Battle before Dawn
Chapter's objective: Protect prince Zephiel for 15 turns.

In hard, your initial position varies:
Zephiel stands up and moves to the pillar at his right on turn 2 (he has a Silver Sword an Elixir; he can resist)

• Reinforcements (from left to right):
- Turn 2: A Shaman and a Mage at the left of the bottom right corner bishop (they don't move right after appearing). They are already there from the beginning in hard mode.
- Turn 3 (also turn 2 in hard): A Thief, a Fighter below Ursula (yellow-bordered squares).
- Turn 5:
A Mage, a Monk and a Shaman from below Ursula (sky-blue).
Also in turn 4 in hard mode, but without the mage on that turn.
- Turn 6 (also turn 5 in hard): A Mercenary and a Hero from Ursula's right (green).
- Turn 8 (also turn 7 in hard): A General and a Knight beside Ursula (black squares close to her).
- Turn 9, 12, 13, 14 (also turns 8 and 11 in hard): A Mage from the bottom left corner of the map.
- Turn 5, 9, 12, 13, 14 (also turns 8 and 11 in hard mode): A Shaman from the stairs in the middle of the map.

Another map in the darkness. Thieves with torches, units carrying keys and units with great movement will make this map a bit more comfortable. You must hurry, the prince is in danger and you must save him, units with great movement will be very helpful, Nino is also in danger, hurry up. The chests have very useful items and the thieves will reach them very quickly, chest 4 will be reached around turn 5 and the other chests will be reached by a thief at turn 7, if Jaffar doesn't kill him before, that is.
By the way, is only a matter of luck if Jaffar survives or not (and you will notice this more on higher difficulties), so you only have to keep restarting if this happens, or use the Physic Staff with characters like Pent, or just go there quickly. The same with Nino, but is more easy where she is. And after that, carry some of them with a mounted unit to make them talk, having previously talked to Nino with your lord.
Ursula has long-range magic, EXTREME CAUTION or you'll die, her range is 10 squares since she won't move, they're shown on the image. Jaffar plays a very important role, but remember that if you don't hurry up, his weapon will break in a few turns and he'll be in danger.

Don't worry about Maxime, Jaffar will kill him before you get to fight him.
Divide your units in two groups, make both groups be well-balanced and have at least one healer, vulneraries are also good to have, and make sure that the healer has a magic tome to protect itself or he'll die, as usual. Look carefully at the enemies' weapons, some of them carry very dangerous ones (swordslayer, silver weapons...).
And if Jaffar doesn't kill the reinforcement Hero (or if you're too late), he could reach Zephiel on turn 10, leave someone on Zephiel's room's entrance.
Valkyrie of Level 15

Ursula is by far a tough opponent, and her magic is very powerful, when you get to where she is,
simply don't attack her with magic due to her very-high resistance, a good swordmaster or a dark magic user with Luna will do the job.
If it's still too hard for you, this is one of the chapters where Pure water and Ninian's rings can be very useful.
