Chapter 6: Blood of Pride


Chapter's objective: Find the secret switch (below the boss)

Note: By stepping in any square that is bordered with a color, in the image, it will open the correspondingly colored room. Those rooms with a black line (the ones with doors) are closed; any enemy inside them will not move until you open their room.

• Strategy:
Game tutorial will teach us about the usefulness of thieves, also how to find the secret entrances. By moving Lyn to the indicated village we’ll recruit Matthew and immediately use him to open the closest door, that way we will find the first of three switch tiles. In order to activate it we need to move a unit there and end his or her turn, so for this one we need to use Rath. We’re not done with our turn yet so let’s focus on the other group; around this area we will find two mercenaries and a soldier, mercenaries are quite easy to kill using Kent, Sain or Florina to weaken them and then finishing them off with Erk and Wil. If we visit the other red roofed village we will obtain a door key that we’ll use to open the door that the soldier is protecting, inside we’ll find the second switch tile that somebody has to activate.

On our nest turn we are taught about stealing, this time with a chest which contains an Angelic Robe (an item that raises your HP). Give it to the unit you think needs it the most; Lyn, Florina, Serra or Erk are good low HP candidates. If you activated the lower switch tile you must have discovered this map’s boss, but we still have a room left. Open the door with Matthew or using the door key that the soldier guarding it dropped, Inside there’s a chest that you can open with Matthew to find an Armor slayer (a sword effective against knights).

This boss is quite easy if we use that Armor slayer with Lyn,
but his biggest weaknesses are his low speed and resistance so Erk can almost instantly kill him.
